A SSD has access speeds of 35 to 100 micro-seconds compared to the HDD that takes 5,000 to 10,000 micro-seconds to access data. The SSD has no moving parts, compared to the HDD which has moving parts and magnetic platters. No moving parts makes the SSD more reliable. The SSD uses less power than the HDD. The SSD has no moving parts, which means little to no noise compared to the HDD that has moving heads and platters(which creates noise). Because there are no moving parts in the SSD, it creates less heat which in turn makes it last longer and more reliable than the HDD.
